I use the "Yahoo Users" grade instead of the critics viewpoint on if a movie is worth seeing. You know those critics, they like the artsie fartsie kind of movie and the rest of us like the enjoyment a movie brings to us. If Yahoo users give it a B or above- go see it. This method doesn't work all the time, but I found out that it works for me. My son always teases me about my method.

I also rate by the cost per movie. A first run showing may cost $8.00-11.00 and reviews become more important. If you go to the cheap theater(2nd run) and pay $1.50 . The reviews may not matter as much. A movie has to really suck not to be worth at least a buck fifty.

I am rating these movies by my enjoyment and from the mancave viewpoint. If you didn't like the movie after I said it was worth seeing, please leave a comment on our blog.

Starring:Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, John Cho, Ben Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg
Directed by:J.J. Abrams

Basic Story: The movie shows how the Enterprise crew got together in the very beginning of their Starfleet careers. A main focus was how Spock and James T Kirk became friends. While at Star Fleet Academy, the crew is brought together to fight the Romulans.

I can't say enough about how I liked this movie. I give it a 5 out of 5 clubs. You didn't have to be a Trek fan to enjoy the movie. It had great characters, good action and cool special effects. For us die-hard Trekies, the movie had all of the right elements and we even saw Leonard Nimoy as the older Spock. The movie was fast paced, fun, action packed and enjoyed it a lot. The only thing that bugged me just a little was the time travel scenario. Go see it, you will enjoy the movie.
